Headteacher’s Notes 5th July
Dear Families,
I hope you are well. What a week it has been! Firstly, please can I apologise for closing the school on Monday. A young person’s education is very precious so I recognise the incredible disruption that is caused by school closure. Sadly, there was no running water coming into the school so we had to close. It has also been a particularly busy week. We currently have student groups out in Kenya and China, all Year 8 students went on a Geography field trip to Castleton, we have a Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Expedition out his weekend, Sports Day is scheduled to take place later today (depending on the weather) and we held our termly Lecture Day. This edition is just a small slice of life in school this week! Throughout the week many students have been rehearsing for our Bugsy Malone Summer Production. Tytherington is a busy school with many opportunities for young people. You can read about all of these events in this week’s edition.
