Headteacher’s Notes 17th May
Dear Families,
We are very appreciative that you have taken the time to read the latest edition of the Headteacher’s Notes. So much has taken place in school over the past week and it is a pleasure to be able to share the great work with you. Year 11 and 13 students have conducted themselves fantastically well in their public examinations. Our Mandarin students have also been involved in Hurdles tests. Well done to Mr Anderson in our Learning Support Department (The Hub) who completed the Leeds Marathon last weekend in aid of a major Motor Neurone Disease charity. You can find out how to donate in this week’s edition. Thank you to Mrs Cook who took a group of students to visit the University of Oxford on Saturday. The start of the week saw the publication of the cast list for our summer production Bugsy Malone. We were also delighted to be joined by Henshaw’s for our whole school assembly this morning. Henshaw’s are a charity based in the North of England primarily supporting people with sight loss. This is a charity which we have developed a relationship with in the last few years and we always welcome them to the school to talk about their great work. You can read more about them in this week’s edition.
