Headteacher’s Notes 12th July

Dear Families,

I hope you are well. Welcome to the penultimate Headteacher’s Notes of the year. What a week it has been!

On Monday we welcomed our rising Year 7 who joined us for their Taster Day. I was extremely impressed with the standard of the work they produced on the day, their willingness to try new things and how well the youngsters were able to quickly make new friends. Our Year 10 and 12s have been out of school this week on work experience across the North West. We took a group of A-Level social science students to London on Monday and Tuesday. Our tennis team managed to get tickets to Wimbledon! We were also visited by a school from the Isle of Man who challenged us to a number of sporting fixtures. Our Art Department hosted their Annual GCSE and A-Level Art Exhibition. On Saturday our LGBTQ+ group took part in the Macclesfield Pride March.

This has also been our Reward Trips Week which has seen hundreds of students visit Alton Towers, Chester Zoo and Cinemac in Macclesfield. A big well done to those students who were able to attend as a result of accumulating hundreds of positive points on Classcharts.
